Evil doesn’t always wear a mask. Sometimes, it looks just like your neighbour. “The Banality of Evil” is a dark, hard-hitting track that explores how ordinary people commit unspeakable crimes.
In the face of unimaginable suffering, faith can crumble. “I’ve Stopped Talking to God” is an epic rock track that tells the harrowing story of a Jewish Holocaust survivor recounting the horrors of Auschwitz and the loss of her religion in the wake of what she witnessed. This powerful song explores the emotional and spiritual toll of war, loss, and faith shattered by humanity’s darkest hour.
“Innocence” is a gut-wrenching rock track that delves into the horrific damage caused by paedophile priests to their victims’ lives. Using the juxtaposition of a sweet, haunting melody against hard-edged storytelling, this song captures the innocence lost and the deep scars left behind by the betrayal of trust and abuse.
“The Awakening” is a provocative rock track that explores the sexual maturing process and the guilt that often arises from societal teachings that portray sex as something shameful or dirty. With powerful riffs and bold lyrics, this song dissects how society’s perception of sex shapes our feelings of guilt and repression, and how we navigate the awakening of our own desires in a world that shames natural sexual exploration.
What if your greatest success led to your greatest downfall? “Invaders” is a gripping progressive rock track that explores the brutal cycle of illness, remission, and relapse through the eyes of a man who has built his life on greed and financial power. As his body betrays him, he begins to question whether his suffering is mere fate—or a form of punishment.
“Empty Chairs” is a deeply emotional rock ballad that explores the profound pain and emptiness that comes with bereavement. With its stunning vocals and beautiful melody, this song paints a poignant picture of the void left behind when a loved one is lost. The lyrics capture the raw grief and heartache that comes with loss with a focus on how everyday ordinary things can emphasise this pain making it a must-listen for anyone who has experienced loss or mourning.
